Key Man Out exists to solve one of the most overlooked risks in business: What happens to your critical credentials and information if you become unavailable?
Every organization—from startups to enterprises, from families to estates—has sensitive information that needs to be accessible in emergencies but protected the rest of the time. We built Key Man Out to provide that balance.
The Problem We Solve
The "Key Man" Risk
In business, a "key man" is someone whose absence would cause significant disruption. Often, these individuals hold:

- Domain registrar access

Traditional Solutions Fall Short

Our Solution
Key Man Out combines:
- Zero-Knowledge Encryption: Your secrets (passwords, API keys, confidential text) and file attachments are encrypted on your device. We can never read them.
- Guardian System: Assign Custodians (owners), Gatekeepers (overseers), and Successors (emergency access) to each asset.
- Intelligent Access Control: Standard approval, time-delayed approval, or DNS verification—match security to sensitivity.
- Complete Audit Trail: Know who accessed what, when, from where—always.
- Team Organization: Compartmentalize by department, project, or family.

We believe the most secure system is one where even the service provider can't access user data. That's why we built on zero-knowledge architecture.
Transparency
We're honest about what we can and can't do. We can't recover your vault key phrase. We can't read your secrets. Asset metadata (titles, instructions) is accessible to us for service functionality, but your sensitive content is protected by encryption we cannot break. We won't make promises we can't keep.

Your data is yours. We don't sell it, mine it, or use it for advertising. We make money from subscriptions, not surveillance.
