Teams are the foundation of Key Man Out's collaborative security model. A team is a group of users who share access to a common set of encrypted assets.
The team dashboard in sealed state - vault must be unsealed to access assets
A team represents a group of people (family members, business partners, employees, etc.) who need to securely share access to critical information. Each team has:
Key Man Out supports three team-wide roles:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control over team settings, billing, member management, and can delete the team |
| Admin | Can manage team members and invitations but cannot access billing or delete the team |
| Member | Can view and create assets but cannot manage team settings or other members |
Note: Asset-level roles (Custodian, Gatekeeper, Successor) are separate from team roles and are covered in the Assets documentation.
